If you've already read my book, Less Will, More Power, you'll have a good understanding of how the conscious and subconscious minds operate. If you haven't gotten around to it quite yet, I'll give you a bit of a rundown. You'll need to know this basic info before you can truly understand how Subliminals work.
The Conscious Mind - The conscious mind refers to the part of the mind that is aware of and actively thinks about one's current thoughts, feelings, sensations, and surroundings. It is the part of the mind responsible for reasoning, decision-making, and self-reflection. The conscious mind is the source of our subjective experience and is considered the seat of our free will and personal identity.
We are in our conscious minds only about 5% of our waking life. The Conscious Mind also has a very important role; it protects our subconscious mind. It is a guard dog of sorts; allowing in only what it deems safe and reasonable into the subconscious mind. The Conscious Mind contains the Critical Factor.
The Critical Factor -- The critical factor of the conscious mind is the ability to critically evaluate information and make rational decisions based on that evaluation. The critical factor allows individuals to weigh the pros and cons of different options and make choices based on their own goals, values, and beliefs. It is what enables people to engage in critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making, and to apply reason and logic to their thoughts and actions. In short, the critical factor of the conscious mind allows individuals to use their mind actively and rationally.
The Subconscious Mind -- The subconscious mind is the part of the mind that operates below the level of conscious awareness and contains information and experiences that greatly and sometimes exclusively influence thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. This includes unconscious thoughts, emotions, habits, memories, and beliefs. In fact, the subconscious mind has recorded and stores every memory and experience you have had since your mother was about 28 weeks pregnant with you.
The subconscious mind can have a significant impact on behavior and decision-making, even though individuals may not be consciously aware of these influences. It is responsible for the formation of habits and automatic behaviors, as well as in regulating bodily functions like breathing and heart rate. While the conscious mind can be actively controlled, the subconscious mind operates automatically and largely outside of conscious control.
The Conscious Mind can be a real MFer when it comes to changing long-held negative and limiting beliefs as well as really bad habits. This is because the Conscious Mind perceives change, even very beneficial change, as a threat.
Also, the Critical Factor gets in the way by rejecting messages if it deems them to be untrue.
If you're desire is to be a non-drinker. or a natural healthy eater, or a non-user, etc., the conscious mind will reject a statement that affirms this because obviously "it's not true". You just had 6 drinks last night, so it will reject a statement that affirms you are a non-drinker. You've eaten an entire pizza yesterday in one sitting, so how can you be anything but a binge eater? You smoked a pack of cigarettes today, so how can you be a non-smoker?
The trick is to bypass the critical Factor of the Conscious mind to communicate directly with the subconscious mind. The Subconscious mind controls habitual behavior.
It is in the Subconscious Mind where change to habits and addictions are made.
The word "Subliminal" literally means "below threshold".
They aren't just messages you don't consciously hear, they are messages and affirmations reduced to a specific frequency - 17,500 hz. I have recorded all of the affirmations (the written affirmations and commands are included with each subliminal recording) in my own voice at a normal level. With an audio program and a plugin, I am able to reduce the recording to 17, 500 Hz.
By changing the frequency of the messages, they will bypass conscious awareness and be accepted and programmed into the subconscious mind.
On top of the affirmations recording, I have placed Brown Noise, a very healing and comforting sound that is excellent for sleeping. Brown noise is the sound of waterfalls, falling rain, and rushing rivers. It is more soothing than White Noise and better for sleep.
